Thanks to everyone who celebrated San Francisco Design Week 2010 and made it such a huge success! The 5th annual San Francisco “Design Makes a Difference” Week had over 2000 attendees at more than 12 sold out events. None of it would have been possible without you and the amazing crew of volunteers from AIGA SF, AIASF, IDSASF, IxDASF, and SEGD, along with speakers, sponsors, local businesses, and design firms. THREAD Show Spring 2010 to be Part of Design Week

THREAD Show, the multi-city shopping event promoting emerging designers and artists, announces its spring 2010 lineup of shows, which will include San Diego, Orange County and San Francisco. THREAD will showcase more than 100 independent designers, as well as complementary music, art, food and entertainment. This year, THREAD is adding a home section to the event, inviting independent designers of furniture, art and house wares to apply for the spring shows. (more…)

Selectism on AIGA Design Week 2009

Going on until Sunday, San Francisco Design Week (click for full program) features a series of lectures, film showings, exhibitions, and related events. The program is sponsored by AIGA San Francisco as a way to encourage conversation amongst the City’s diverse design community. With a goal of raising public awareness to the importance of design in all facets, San Francisco Design Week is this year hinged on the notion that “Design Makes a Difference.”
