Thanks to everyone who celebrated San Francisco Design Week 2010 and made it such a huge success! The 5th annual San Francisco “Design Makes a Difference” Week had over 2000 attendees at more than 12 sold out events. Global innovation firm frog design today announced it will support San Francisco Design Week (June 14-June 20). frog will provide exclusive online coverage of the week’s events on its design mind web site, including daily blog posts and Twitter updates, along with interviews with speakers and participants. Written and designed by frog’s employees as well as featuring contributions from guest writers and artists, design mind provides perspectives on industry trends, emerging technologies, and global consumer culture.

THREAD Show, the multi-city shopping event promoting emerging designers and artists, announces its spring 2010 lineup of shows, which will include San Diego, Orange County and San Francisco. THREAD will showcase more than 100 independent designers, as well as complementary music, art, food and entertainment. This year, THREAD is adding a home section to the event, inviting independent designers of furniture, art and house wares to apply for the spring shows. (more…)

The program is sponsored by AIGA San Francisco as a way to encourage conversation amongst the City’s diverse design community.
