Stagger Lee Goods
We make quality handmade goods out of canvas, denim, cotton twill, leather and waxed material infused with our own mix of beeswax and mineral oil. Our products include aprons, totes, back packs, bar tool kits, chef knife kits, and other leather goods.
We also do custom work and have created aprons for bars and restaurants Trick Dog, Aatxe, Bar Agricole, The Riddler, Trou Normand, Okane, Park Tavern, Remy Martin, Alexander’s Steakhouse, Bergerac, The Dorian, Sons & Daughters and others.
The Makers and Their Production Spaces
My team and I make products in-house in Brisbane and San Francisco.
The Making Process
I cut it by hand and hand stitch and machine stitch.
The Production Model
“Handmade and built with integrity.” Most items are limited edition. I’m committed to improving my skill set every day and ensuring the quality of construction. My goal/hope/desire is that this translates into every Stagger Lee Goods piece.
The Materials
Everything is made in my Northern California studio by hand. I cut and stitch everything in my little workshop and still, at times, agonizing over the smallest detail. I’m passionate about well-made things. That is why I have chosen to work with 100% cotton fabric from some of the best producers in the world. I can’t get over the way cotton feels, ages, and fades. I avoid polyester and other synthetic blended fabric unless essential for functionality (like the use of nylon thread to prevent rot). Every stitch is either done with my trusty Juki or by hand. I hand cut all the leather I work with and hammer every rivet.
