Industrial Design Outreach, Inc. (IDO) mission is to foster curiosity, promote creativity and build confidence in youth from underrepresented communities through design education. We are passionate about empowering the next generation of innovators.

IDO believes the world’s most complex problems require diversity of thought. We want to help realize this potential through outreach to students who otherwise may not be reached due to a lack of resources or opportunities.

Industrial design can become more inclusive and dynamic by showcasing young people’s incredible imaginations and innovations. By adopting a growth mindset, “we are able to give students the opportunity to discover what uniquely intrigues them…and bring it to life.” says Jen Long, Master Mentor.

IDO is a non-profit (501c3) educational organization that develops creative competencies by providing three-dimensional design programs through personalized mentorship to High School students from underrepresented communities since 2003.
