Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators
June 23 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Want to change the world? Are you interested in fostering creativity in young people? Do you believe that building confidence opens a world of opportunity?
Industrial Design Outreach, Inc. (IDO) mission is to foster curiosity, promote creativity and build confidence in youth from underrepresented communities through design education. We are passionate about empowering the next generation of innovators.
IDO believes the world’s most complex problems require diversity of thought. We want to help realize this potential through outreach to students who otherwise may not be reached due to a lack of resources or opportunities.
Industrial design can become more inclusive and dynamic by showcasing young people’s incredible imaginations and innovations. By adopting a growth mindset, “we are able to give students the opportunity to discover what uniquely intrigues them…and bring it to life.” says Jen Long, Master Mentor.
Join us for an inspiring and informative session on the power of mentorship, why it’s good for design and how you can contribute to make lasting positive change.
IDO is a non-profit (501c3) educational organization that develops creative competencies by providing three-dimensional design programs through personalized mentorship to High School students from underrepresented communities since 2003.
