How I told my story in a Google commercial | San Francisco Design Week Virtual Event
Free

Last year during the 2021 Oscars, Google premiered a commercial about how my family and I have stayed connected during a pandemic. And part of what led to that (surreal) moment was a deck – a talk I gave to my team at Google about my life and experiences as a CODA, or “child of deaf adults.” During this talk, I’ll share the film and the original presentation that first inspired the campaign – some essential things to know about the world of deafness, what Google has done for the deaf and hard of hearing, and what else we all as designers and creatives can all do to make our work more accessible.

Event Speaker: Tony Lee, Senior Designer, Brand Studio, He/Him
