You know this already, but everyone you’re designing for is stressed out.
We’re living in or coming out of isolation, many Americans are newly unemployed, and according to the Census Bureau, “a third of Americans now show signs of clinical anxiety or depression” amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Mental health was already top of mind before COVID-19 arose, and now The Great Pause of the last 3 months has built up a pressure that is ready to erupt.
In this session, One Medical’s team of behavioral health clinicians, coaches, and designers will discuss the undeniable connection between mental and physical health, and the implications for our new normal. But first, we’ll start with a mindfulness session led by one of One Medical’s Certified Health Coaches.
During our conversation, we’ll examine how stress affects people’s thoughts, attention, and behavior, and our design team will share how we’ve adapted to provide supportive digital experiences during this time. We’ll also provide practical guides for integrating these new lenses into your design practice.
