Core to being a designer is the ability to envision beyond the way things are, to the highest potential of how they could be.
There’s no doubt that the last few months have brought uncertainty, sadness, and adversity upon us. Yet, this moment is also full of opportunities to improve our products, experiences, and systems-our lives. Designing with optimism allows us to hold space for this duality: To design with a belief that after all we’ve been through, we can create a new-and better-normal. A belief that we will not just weather this storm, but emerge energized.
Led by two of our design leaders in San Francisco, Karishma Sheth and Takuo Fukuda, this interactive workshop will explore some of SYPartners’ methods for how to design with optimism through exercises, frameworks, and case studies from our work. There will also be opportunities to ask questions and discuss with the hosts and your fellow attendees.
