Join Code for America’s design and research team for a look under the hood at the current state of government services in the United States–both before and during COVID-19, and how good design can make vital government services easier to use. Let’s get dreamy as we imagine a world where every government service started with human-centered service design. What do we mean when we say government services? Everything from food stamps to criminal record clearance to the Earned Income Tax Credit—all services Code for America tackles every day—to simple interactions with government, like getting a driver’s license or filling out the Census. Learn more about how service design illuminates and can lower barriers to access in ways you might not even imagine. Good design isn’t just pretty; it can make a huge difference.
