Learn how an award-winning architect and a former executive at Apple are changing homebuilding. The construction industry has been plagued by a lack of innovation and custom homebuilding is a one-off, bespoke process that few can afford. While the results can be truly transformational and impactful – homes with an abundance of natural light, seamless indoor/outdoor living, energy-efficient and built sustainably, all leading to a healthier way to live – it doesn’t have much impact if no one can afford to build a new home.
Jared Levy, co-founder of Connect Homes, wanted to change that. Connect Homes has built a platform turning the home into a modern smart product, developed an assembly line process to efficiently manufacture them, and with their patented logistics system, can deliver homes nationwide. But scaling from 100 homes in CA to 10,000 homes nationwide is not a trivial problem to solve.
Greg Leung didn’t know much about building homes when he took on the role of CEO at Connect Homes. What he did know was how to launch a new product and manage a global supply chain to meet demand. That’s what he did at Apple, where he helped orchestrate dozens of product launches of the iPod, the iPhone, and the Mac. Apple defined what a design-driven consumer product company could be.
By applying those same principles to a different product – the home – Connect Homes intends to deliver you a beautiful modern home wherever you want one.
