Event description

From connected classrooms to smart shopping experiences, we’ve heard of many connected ecosystem-enabled dreams that never materialize. Why? There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to designing IoT ecosystems.

Figuring out where to start can feel overwhelming—but it doesn’t have to be.

In complex systems such as the Internet of Things (IoT), utilizing 80% pre-existing elements allows you to build upon the shoulders of giants and frees you up to focus on the 20% that will differentiate your offering and unlock a uniquely captivating experience, that in turn can generate a huge business opportunity. The challenge then becomes: in a sea of platforms and acronyms how do we figure out which novel jigsaw piece of technology completes the picture?

We’re bringing together key partners from different layers in the IoT stack to explore four perspectives in one place. Hosted by Heather Brundage, our resident expert in IoT, this panel will provide a unique look at approaching design from the ecosystem inwards, taking advantage of available building blocks and only inventing where it adds distinction, to enable truly novel experiences, products, and business models.

And of course, no event would be complete without exclusive networking and delicious local treats!
