Acclaimed design editor Zahid Sardar sits down with award-winning architect Clive Wilkinson in a new webcast series, “SPOTLIGHT WITH ZAHID SARDAR”. Wilkinson is best-known for his large-scale projects for Disney, Google, Macquarie Bank, and Microsoft, all of which will be a topic of discussion. While he has designed numerous major tech firms’ campuses and headquarters, Wilkinson will also take us on an exclusive personal insider tour of his private residential home in Los Angeles, sharing his work-from-home experience during the Covid-19 quarantine.

ABOUT CLIVE WILKINSON, FAIA, FIIDA, PRESIDENT CLIVE WILKINSON ARCHITECTS
Clive Wilkinson FAIA FIIDA, is an architect, strategist and writer working at the intersection of urban design, architecture and interior design. His large-scale projects for Disney, Google, Macquarie Bank, and Microsoft have established new paradigms for building creative and educational communities. Clive was inducted into the Interior Design ‘Hall of Fame’ in 2005, and his firm won the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award for Interior Design in 2012. His book, The Theatre of Work, was published in 2019.

ZAHID SARDAR is a San Francisco-based editor, writer, and curator specializing in architecture, interiors, and design. He has authored many design books, curated exhibitions, and was the San Francisco Chronicle’s design editor for 20 years. Most recently he was the editor-in-chief of Spaces Magazine. His work has also appeared in New York Times, Dwell, Interiors, Western Interiors & Design, Interior Design, House & Garden, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, and Landscape Architecture. He has taught design history at the California College of the Arts and has written several other books, including “In & Out of Paris: Gardens of Secret Delights”, “West Coast Modern” and “New Garden Design”.
