frog and Campfire will tell the origin story of their recent collaboration on the design of Campfire’s 3D holographic technology which enables both AR and VR for the purpose of product design. Campfire is an XR startup that just emerged from stealth and will be launching as a subscription in the fall. The panel will speak to the origins and inspirations driving the physical and brand design, how it is differentiated from other XR systems and approaches, and how it aims to aid product design collaboration in the future. Highlights will include challenges the team confronted working remotely on an Industrial Design program collaborating between NY and SF and discussion on the role of XR in the future of collaboration and creative work, especially as we enter a new era of widespread experimentation and adoption of hybrid work scenarios. A presentation will be followed with time for discussion and questions.
