Event description

The primary function of design is to make something useful. Unfortunately, many digital products out on the market now have been developed without universal accessibility in mind. As designers, we have a unique opportunity to help shape the next generation of inclusive and accessible technology.

In this SFDW panel, we will discuss the important role design has in building technology that addresses diversity and inclusion. Our panel will share how design can help engage users with different learning styles, explore how designers can be more mindful of biases and stereotypes when building product and discuss how commonly used devices and apps can achieve universal accessibility for all.

– Treyce Meredith, Product Designer at Carbon Five
– David Hendee, Director of Design at Carbon Five
