Event description

Presented by AIGA SF and InVision, this all day intimate gathering will kick-off with a coffee social and an opportunity to get to know the other attendees to build your sisterhood. The day will include breakout sessions, conversations with women and non-binary design leaders, mediation sessions, and we’ll end with a happy hour so you can celebrate YOU with your new friends. Each attendee will receive thoughtful gifts courtesy of InVision and Calm App. Lunch provided by Off the Grid.

AIGA SF’s Women in Leadership and Design (WILD) initiative aims for gender parity in design. The purpose of WILD Programming, meetups and workshops is to empower women and genderqueer persons at every stage of their path to leadership. Healthy Design Leadership
Leah Buley, Director, Design Education, InVision

What does it mean to be a healthy design leader? As designers, how do you make sure that you’re putting healthy products into the world? As leaders, how do you ensure that you’re fostering healthy work for your team? Join InVision’s Director of Design Education Leah Buley and other experience design industry veterans for a conversation about personal and professional health in the design industry while navigating the highs and lows of leadership.

Leah Buley is a veteran of the experience design industry and the author of the book The User Experience Team of One, published by Rosenfeld Media. As a director of InVision’s Design Education team, she researches, analyzes, and shares what makes design teams successful. Prior to joining InVision, Leah was a principal analyst at Forrester, where she studied design’s role in business. She has also held roles at Intuit, one of the first companies to make design thinking a firm-wide competency, and at Adaptive Path, a pioneering user experience design consultancy.
