Connect Homes
This Mar Vista site had an outdated, energy inefficient 1200sq ft house on it. This was replaced with a state-of-the-art 11 module, 2900sf home – a great example of what the Connect Homes prefab system can do.
A carport/office structure placed at the front of the lot breaks down the project’s scale with the main two-story house pushed towards the rear of the lot. A sliding wood gate at the back of the carport opens into a central courtyard for the perfect combination of indoor/outdoor living. The major spaces of the house spill out into this courtyard, showing an innovative approach to more densely occupying Los Angeles lots – while providing multiple outdoor spatial experiences. The house is Net Zero Enabled and has many green features.
