Science Axon Terminal is a portable neural signal simulator designed by CARD79 for Science Corporation. Functioning like an “MP3 player for neural data,” the device allows researchers to load, browse, and play pre-recorded neural signals for pre-implant evaluation of brain–computer interfaces in a fully non-invasive environment.
The project focused on translating highly specialized neuroscience workflows into a clear, approachable, and physically intuitive experience. CARD79 worked closely with Science to create a device that feels precise and trustworthy while remaining portable, ergonomic, and easy to operate. Through rapid prototyping, ergonomic refinement, and iterative hardware studies, the team developed a compact instrument that balances scientific rigor with the familiarity of consumer electronics.
The result establishes a new interaction paradigm for neurotechnology tools—making advanced neural research more accessible, understandable, and operationally seamless for researchers and engineers.
