The Makers and Their Production Spaces
Almost all cutting and fabrication services are performed in-house by our team of permanent employees. We outsource sewing services to a company that sublets a space in our warehouse. We outsource some services such as finishing and logistics to small Bay Area companies.

The Making Process
We specialize in laser cutting, CNC routing, CNC knife cutting, die-cutting, fabrication (metal, wood, plastic), production sewing, adhesive lamination, and custom packaging. We offer a combination of advanced automated techniques and old-school ancillary services.

The Production Model
Automated fabrication is our bread and butter. Since we are a small company working in the extremely competitive Bay Area business environment, we prefer to use our brains rather than our brawn. However, any automated manufacturing technique also must be accompanied by a human touch. Our team always applies a deep knowledge of materials, a sense of craft, and an eye for quality to every job that we do.

The Materials
Since we are a production shop, we use a huge range of materials depending on what our clients need. We source 100% wool felt from Europe, recycled PET acoustic panels from Asia, plywood from the US and Russia, and metal and plastic from the US and Asia. We try to waste as little material as possible because it’s a win-win-win: First off, reducing waste reduces our material costs. Second, it reduces our waste disposal cost. And finally, it’s the right thing to do.
