Founded in 2017, Bay Area Made is a platform dedicated to showcasing products and
brands made in the Bay Area which highlight the richness and diversity of our region,
west coast craftsmanship, and reflect the values of the companies that have chosen to
make their products here. Bay Area Made plays a key role in building community
amongst local makers, which facilitates collaboration, innovation, resources, and shared
best practices.

The exhibition “Bay Area Made: Materials Matter” highlights our maker community, the
wide range and high-quality products made in the Bay Area, and the materials or
ingredients used to create them. Companies share how and why their products are
made the way they are, and the conscious decisions they have made about their
materials. Because what we make locally, and the materials we use, matter!
