Founded in 2012 as a contemporary furniture and design showroom for the Oakland-based design/build company, MRCW, Turtle & Hare is a curated retail store promoting local and Japanese craft and design. We compliment unique one of a kind furniture pieces designed and built-in Oakland using locally sourced wood and fine Japanese craftsmanship with unique lighting, ceramics and home accessories. In addition, we represent some of Japan’s most highly regarded chair manufacturers.
