Global Contemporary Design, Crafted in Mexico
June 3 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
$10.00
Colección Estudio is a design studio founded by three designers: Andrés Cacho, Manuel López, and Daniel Martínez, who explore the intersection of art, craft, and contemporary furniture. Since their founding, they have built a practice rooted in Mexican cultural legacy, material experimentation, and collaboration with artisans, producing limited-edition objects that travel between local workshops and international markets.
This talk traces their journey: from establishing a design studio that bridges Mexico and the United States, to evolving into mentors through Punto 3, a new platform that supports emerging designers through knowledge exchange, collaborative production, and a shared belief that craft must be projected into the future, not just preserved.
In a city shaped by innovation and cross-cultural exchange, Colección Estudio invites the San Francisco design community to explore what it means to build a global design practice with deep local roots, and how mentorship, multiplicity, and making become tools for collective growth.
