SOLD OUT: The Future of Connecting Communities through Creative Technology

On Board Experiential (OBE) is an experience-led creative agency that has crafted meaningful, powerful experiences for brands such as Nike, Salesforce, Meta, J.P.Morgan Chase & Co., and Sephora, for almost 30 years. The most impactful of these experiences focus on audience-centric design and community-building engagement. While these driving forces behind our design practice stay constant, we are continually evolving to meet new audience needs, stay relevant to their communities, and demonstrate the industry-leading mindset of our clients and partners.

For this event, we will discuss how emerging technologies are shaping the future of 360-degree experience design. We will look at how new augmented and mixed reality developments as well as immersive virtual platforms like Roblox and Fortnite are creating fresh ways to connect with, celebrate and engage different communities. And we’ll unpack some of our case studies (warts and all) for learnings on how, when and where to best leverage creative technology for building connection. Light bites and drinks will be provided.



Jeff Yang is VP of Technology and Innovation at OBE. With more than 15 years of experience in marketing and interactive storytelling, he has worked with clients from fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations and everything in between, helping to strategize, concept, and implement experiential technology into thought-provoking brand experiences.


Grace Chee is a creative technologist and award-winning multi-disciplinary designer who pushes the boundaries of traditional marketing by immersing audiences in unforgettable brand experiences at the intersection of physical and digital mediums. She holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard, where her research focused on spatial storytelling and responsive environments.

Katie Schray is a creative producer-editor and former broadcast news director with 16-plus years of industry experience. She has a multi-faceted skillset including content capture, post-production and technical direction for virtual and live events. She is experienced in all stages of production and project development from ideation to execution.

Bram van de Ven is founder and owner of immersive technology agency arfected. Based in the Netherlands, arfected is an official partner of Meta and Snapchat. He started off as a freelancer 5 years ago and has grown to an in-house team of 14 enthusiastic and tech-savvy AR professionals. As one of the pioneers in the world of immersive tech, the team closely follows the newest trends and developments on various AR platforms.
