Twist and Transform: Exploring Future Concepts and Career Pathways | San Francisco Design Week Hybrid Event

Join us this evening as we dive into the unique journey of our designers and the impact of emerging technologies.

ACTIVITY: Generating and Visualizing Future Concepts @Labs x Song
An expanse of generative tools are now among us, so are the many questions and worries surrounding the future of the designer in the design process. Through activities harnessing co-creation models of design with generative AI – we expose where the role of designers is relevant and where prowess of AI is most beneficial to the “new” design process of tomorrow. In this activity we use the tools of generative thinking and generative AI to develop speculative concepts rooted in our Life Trends.”

PANEL: Journeys to Design: Finding superpowers in unexpected places
Designers at Accenture come from a multitude of backgrounds and bring experience from a variety of industries. Join us as we speak with a panel of designers whose careers took twists and turns and learn how their past experiences in various industries have shaped their design approach and empowered them to bring a fresh perspective to the field.

SHOW-AND-TELL: “Emerging Technologies for Inclusive Design and Products” @Accenture Labs
As we move towards a more inclusive future, we believe that emerging technology can and should play a pivotal role in shaping diverse experiences and meeting the unique needs of different individuals. Join us for a show-and-tell style talk on ‘ExoBreast’. ExoBreast is a novel bra and breast prosthesis designed to be re-moldable, conformable, and lightweight. ExoBreast is designed for users such as breast cancer survivors who have undergone mastectomy, gender non-conforming and transgender individuals, and individuals who are interested in breast appearance modification. We invite you to share your experiences with breast wear (bras, prosthesis, etc.) to help guide the research and development direction for ExoBreast.
