Thank you for participating as a Community Partner for San Francisco Design Week! We encourage you to create your own Plot Twist using images or GIFs to help promote your event on social media. Don’t forget to tag @sfdesignweek and use the hashtag #sfdwplottwister.

HOW IT WORKS
The quick answer: It’s 100% magic. Get in there and have fun with it.
The other answer: We’ve designed and programmed a number of parameters that you can control, such as composition settings, twist properties, and image or color fills.
01/ TEMPLATES
First pick a template setting. There are 3 available dimensions: window size, 9×16 vertical or 1×1. You can also choose a text layout option and one of two views to get you started.
02/ THE TWIST
Use the sliders to adjust things like radius, slope, rotation and more.
03/ SIDES
Each side of the twist can be customized separately. Change colors, choose from a list of provided images and GIFs, or upload your own. If an image or GIF is applied to a side, additional settings for cropping and tiling will be available.
Tip for GIFs: There’s a WEBGL nuance that requires GIFs to be built with pixels that are a power of 2 in order for the texture to be repeated or mirrored (256, 512, 1024, 2048, etc). Here are a few examples of pixel dimensions that work well: 256×512, 256×1024, 512×2048 or 256×256. For best results, rescale and crop your GIFs to abide by this sizing nuance.
04/ MOTION
Simply click Spin or Spring to add motion to your twist.
05/ SAVE
Save an image or a video loop and use it to promote your event.
