Marcie has a dream: to own Ed’s Tavern, where she’s bartender and den mother to her community of regular folk. But when a developer and an endangered bird begin to unravel her plans, Marcie has to rally her people to prevent the loss of the Tavern and save the community.

Panelists
John Helde (Writer, Director) started his career in New York City working with the celebrated docu-mentary makers Maysles Films. His award-winning short films include Hello, starring Eric Stoltz and Susanna Thompson. His first feature documentary, Made in China aired on the Documentary Chan-nel. His recent independent features Brown’s Canyon and Phoebe’s Father are streaming on major platforms including Amazon and iTunes.
Beth Farnham (Producer) has been a producer, creative producer and production manager for a va-riety of filmmakers for over 20 years in the entertainment industry. Recently she was production su-pervisor for the Warner Media/HBO series Three Busy Debras. Other projects include the short films Death’s Diner in Seattle, Lucky Spot in NYC, and the Northwest feature film The Gender Flip Card.
Bliss Holloway (Director of Photography/DP) has worked as a cinematographer for over 15 years on feature films, commercials, documentaries, live events and television shows. He began his film career in the Scuola di Cinema in Rome, worked in New York City, and is now in Seattle. His clients include National Geographic, BBC, CNN, NPR and PBS, as well as independent directors, producers, and businesses.
Catherine Nueva España (Executive Producer/EP) is a Seattle-based arts consultant and facilitator. As an Arts Commissioner for the 36th legislative district and as a frequent participant in arts agency initiatives, she advocates for the arts as a key economic driver in Washington State. She has curat-ed the AIA San Francisco Architecture and the City Festival film series and has written film reviews for Droste Effect Magazine and others.
Montana Tippett (Production Designer) works on film and television projects including Hunting Grounds (2015), The Jinkx and DeLa Holiday Special (2020) and ECCO (2019). Recent credits in-clude Potato Dreams of America (2021) as art director, and Know Your Place (2022) as set dresser.
Luce Cousineau (Make Up Artist) (she/her) is a union makeup artist working in film, television, and commercials in the PNW and beyond. Luce prefers collaboration and believes this is not a solo jour-ney. She has helped craft Penelope (EP: Duplass Brothers), MARCIE’S (director: John Helde), Year of the Fox (director: Megan Griffiths), and Three Busy Debras (EP: Amy Poehler, on HBO Max).
Moderator
Lisa Boquiren brings insight, ideas and strategy to creative businesses as a brand strategist and marketing advisor. She is also produces, and moderates, convergent conversations on topics such as the creative process, messaging and equity in design and architecture. For San Francisco Design Week 2022, she produced, and moderated, Creative Cross-Pollination featuring acclaimed industrial designer Kenneth Cobonpue and fabric-turned-metal designer Annie Kantor.
