Exhibition: Bay Area Made Workspaces
Bay Area Made is a platform dedicated to showcasing products and brands made in the Bay Area which highlight the richness and diversity of our region, west coast craftsmanship, and reflect the values of the companies that have chosen to make their products here. Bay Area Made plays a key role in building community amongst local makers, which facilitates collaboration, innovation, resources, and shared best practices.
This exhibition showcases the studios, workshops, and factories where Bay Area Made member companies make everything from home & garden, apparel & accessories, food & beverage, and body & bath products. You will also learn about the products they make, the tools and materials they use, and their making process. We hope this look behind the scenes gives you a greater understanding and appreciation of what goes into making high quality products – and inspires you to support your local makers.

Support Local Businesses! Featured Design Sight: Letterform Archive
Letterform Archive is a nonprofit center for inspiration, education, publishing & community in graphic design. We hold physical and digital artifacts that chronicle the history of written communication, from the invention of writing and medieval manuscripts to modernism, the age of print to the present explosion of digital type.
We recently opened our first-ever public exhibition at our new home in the Dogpatch. “Bauhaus Typography at 100” is on view now in the Letterform Archive gallery and features work by Johannes Itten, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, László Moholy-Nagy, Herbert Bayer, and Joost Schmidt, along with others whose innovative typographic contributions are often overlooked, including women such as Friedl Dicker.
