Bay Area Made: Making a Sustainable Future

Digital Exhibition

Digital Gallery
Sustainability is no longer a choice – it’s an imperative! If pollution and the symptoms of global warming such as drought, flooding, wildfires, sea level rise, and species extinction aren’t enough of a warning the coronavirus pandemic Mother Nature has made it abundantly clear and increased the level of urgency. Our future depends on it.

Sustainability is a big, broad term, and knowing where to start can be challenging for us all. The exhibitors in Bay Area Made: Making a Sustainable Future hope the exhibit will provide education and inspiration – important ingredients in creating positive change.

Live Performance, Beatboxing and Dance Party

    Live Experience

    JUNE 25, 5pm-6pm

Join us for a LIVE experience and dance party to close out the week with Scotch who will teach you how to beatbox, create songs on the fly with audience interaction. She will be chatting with attendees throughout the experience!

Butterscotch, the vocal percussionist virtuosa, uses her powerful voice to defy gender and music social constructs. She began her career in the underground male-dominated beatbox battle scene, where she was crowned the world’s first female beatbox champion.

When she is not touring the world, she gives back to the community and continues to live her dream of touching the world with her music. She enjoys teaching beatbox workshops at various colleges, high schools and elementary schools. As a prison reformer advocate, one of her favorite experiences has been performing for those incarcerated in San Quentin Prison through The Last Mile accelerator program.

Butterscotch has a full length compilation album entitled “The Scotch Tapes. Her last single “We Are All We Got,” was in collaboration with Grammy Award Winning Producers Neff-U and Mischke Butler. Her newest release “Scotch,” is a testament to her growth as an artist and human. She is currently finishing up her next full length album with Blackalicious producer Chief Xcel.
