At Canvas, we believe that everyone deserves to have access to a car of their choosing affordably, easily, and on their own terms.
For nearly a century, buying and leasing have gone unchanged as the primary methods for obtaining a car. Both place undue burdens of long-term debt and financial risk on customers.
Canvas set out to build a better alternative to buying or leasing. Our service allows customers to shop for a car online, get it delivered or pick it up at a dealership, and drive with complete coverage for insurance, maintenance, and roadside assistance. We offer renegotiable terms and the ability to swap into another vehicle at any time. To date, we’ve served over 3,000 customers, many hailing from our home city of San Francisco, as well as international residents from over seven countries. We’re currently available in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Dallas. With new markets launching in 2019, we couldn’t be more excited about bringing a better form of car access to more people.

Together, we are working on creating a true alternative to car ownership for today’s customer, while we continue to look towards the future. Canvas is based in downtown San Francisco, and we currently serve the greater Bay Area and Los Angeles.
