IOT: Honorable Mention
Nokia Design
The main objective was to bring a simpler architecture and visual language to what was a functional, but highly technical and complex application. We wanted to maintain what we knew from research what people loved about Health Mate (advanced graphing and visualizations), while making it more accessible to a new audience of consumers not yet using our products. We also wanted to build from the new brand from Nokia’s heritage, using the Nokia typeface and corporate blue as an anchor.
We introduced a unified color palette so that colors had the same meaning no matter which metric you viewed (green=good, red=bad). We introduced tabs to make navigation with one hand easier. We introduced a family of illustrations to bring personality and meaning to a user’s data. We developed a new font to make the display and representations of numeric information bolder and easier to read. We introduced a new icon family to connect the Nokia family of apps together across the ecosystem.
